Overview

The Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM), an apex institution of the Government of Gujarat, offers the Doctoral Fellowship Programme to support high-quality doctoral research in priority areas related to disaster risk reduction, climate change, Environmental studies and resilience-building.

Eligibility

The programme is designed to encourage full-time Ph.D. scholars enrolled in Universities and Institutions to undertake research that is policy-relevant, socially useful, and aligned with the needs of the State and the country. It aims to strengthen evidence-based decision-making and generate knowledge that contributes to disaster preparedness, risk mitigation, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.
