MoU formalized between GIDM and RIMES

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Gujarat Institute of Disaster Management (GIDM) and Regional Integrated Multi-Hazard Early Warning System for Africa and Asia (RIMES), Thailand with the focus to working together on training, research, and exchange of expertise in areas of multi-hazard early warning systems.

Area of co-operation:

• Joint Development and Delivering of Prioritized Training Courses on Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems
• Strengthening of Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems Capacities
• Exchange of Multi-hazard Early Warning System Expertise, Knowledge, and Experience 

The MoU was signed by Shri P K Taneja, Director General, GIDM and Dr. A. R. Subbiah, Director (Program Unit), RIMES.
