Gujarat, one of the most industrialized states in India, has witnessed significant growth in its chemical industry. However, this rapid industrialization has also heightened the risk of chemical accidents and incidents, making it essential to prioritize the safe management of hazardous chemicals. Protecting the health and safety of workers, surrounding communities, and the environment is of paramount importance.
To address this, enhancing the knowledge and skills of industry professionals involved in the manufacturing, storage, handling, and transportation of hazardous chemicals is crucial. The 'Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) in Industries' program is designed to meet this need by providing comprehensive guidance on identifying hazards and managing risks effectively, ensuring safer industrial practices and mitigating potential risks.
The 'Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment in Industries' training program aims to to equip industry professionals with the necessary knowledge, skills, and tools to effectively identify, assess, and manage risks associated with hazardous chemicals in industrial settings, ultimately fostering a culture of safety and risk resilience in the workplace.
The faculty would be from Industry, Academia, DISH, GIDM and GPCB
